Required: An E-mail account should already be created on the Exchange Server 2010, a wired Internet connection on campus or VPN with uf.

Basic settings: mail.ufl.edu (Exchange 2010 mailboxes) for the mail server address

The connection in Outlook 2011 for Mac is difference from the Exchange connection in Outlook for Windows. The Outlook for Mac is using EWS for Exchange connection. According to your original posting, there seems to be some issue with your autodiscover service. I'm trying to configure my Microsoft Outlook 2011 MAC email program to send and receive my att.net account. I can't seem to find the configuration information. I tried using the pop.att.yahoo.com port 995 and smtp.att.yahoo.com port 465 configuration as indicated in a previous version of Outlook.

Step 1:
After installing the software, click on Add Account Button (optional: check if you want to make Outlook the default application for e-mail)

  1. URL at Server Address is working fine for MAC ( outlook 2011). Also Sharing one MAC Script which is required to resolve such kind of issues, it will disable Autodiscover. First Check Outlook Profile name from Outlook's Tools-Accounts dialog.
  2. Configure automatically: checked. Click Add Account. A message displays asking whether you want to allow the Outlook autodiscover server to configure your settings. Check Always use my response for this server and click Allow. Your Exchange account settings display. Close this window. Last modified April 20, 2020.

Step 1 (Optional):
If you do not see the splash screen above you could go to Tools > Accounts

Step 2:
The Account setup assistant will open, select Exchange Account

Step 3: Users on Exchange 2010 mailboxes
Enter the email address for Exchange (i.e.: user@ufl.edu)
Enter user name in the as username@ufl.edu format and prefix an UFAD (an example is UFADuser@ufl.edu)
Enter your password


Step 4:
Click Add Account. Outlook 2011 is now set-up and is getting mail from your Exchange server.

Here's some information on macOS Catalina, which may be helpful:

macOS Catalina - Technical Specifications states 'Exchange Support

Requires Microsoft Office 365, Exchange 2016, Exchange 2013, or Exchange Server 2010. Installing the latest Service Packs is recommended.'
